AI image generation

 Generating AI images

I that I would take up generating imagery using AI after hearing about it online and in real life for the past few months.

I realised quickly that humans and animals nearly straight off go into the uncanny valley, which is great if your aiming for that, though that is due to lack of editing and experience on my part.

so far loving the more surreal feel to most of my images.

Preparation prior to cutting and polishing a cabochon

As promised, here is one of the cabochons I am currently working on.

This one came from one of my first pieces jasper that I found along the macquarie river, NSW, Australia.

I am concerned about the cracks visible on the left side and bottom right of the piece, having had a nice piece of agate shatter on me during polishing, it is an experience that you wouldn't forget any time soon.

But nothing ventured, nothing gained.

light pollution

Light pollution

I was out photographing the stars around 2:30 Sunday morning, As I was returning home I noticed the shear amount of light pollution form one light sources up on the crest of the hill in the distance so I stopped to photograph the effect.

behind it and to the left you can see light pollution from Bathurst.

I found it interesting to see some of the impact we have had on the night sky.

Bathurst camera club Tarana night photography get together

Bathurst camera club Tarana night photography get together
The Bathurst Camera club went out to the Anglican church outside of Tarana for some Astronomy photography/painting with light.

We met at the Kelso Macdonald's at 6:15 leaving as a convoy at 6:30 to get to Tarana Anglican by 7:00 were we met other members from the area.

At first we were just painting with light off the church building before we tried using glow sticks to produce light trails before combining both.

Over all it was an enjoyable night out with the Bathurst camera club.
