Art's Back 2014

Hi everyone
I am looking forward to this Friday when the art's back exhibition is over for this year, It has been at times a bit challenging this year, Learning new genres, techniques in photography, Working with different groups to experience the challenges of having clients and going through a new set of unreliable fellow students either not attending or sadly leaving the course when there had been people wanting to attend, but were unable to enroll due to the course being initially filled.

The exhibition has been a combination the work of the class of the diploma in visual arts with my class, the diploma in photo imaging of 2014.

It was a pain getting this exhibition together, there were very little co-operation between the courses, we as a class were making the invitation for the exhibition. we had issues with agreeing on fonts for the invitation, we had trouble with one of their teachers during the making of the invitation. but in the end we got one finally agreed upon.

from the 27th and 28th of September and the 3rd to the 7th of November. we were setting up for the exhibition, it was a very surprising change from the conflict we were seemingly having during the making of the invitation. we got in, we helped out, we framed our images and  hanging them up in b block of the march street tafe campus. and it was the best team work experience i had this year, it has been a pleasure working with the visual arts students on this exhibition.

On the 7th of November we had the opening night for the exhibition was amazing thanks to the efforts of the visual arts students and our teachers in finishing the final preparations for the opening night.

The opening night was a success, with quite a crowd attending, though sadly some of my fellow students were not able to attend the night due to other commitments. My parents were able to attend the opening night, they even got to meet some of their old friends from Orange, which was nice to see them again.

This week we have been holding fort, curating the exhibition till the 14th of November. and we have had quite a few people visiting, making the final weeks of our course feel like for most of the class coming up to a happy conclusion of the year.

so anyway if your in orange on the 13th and 14th of November, Art's back exhibition is on 10 am to 4 pm. i will be in on the Friday from 10 Am to 12 Pm.
